For 20 years, the North American Carbon World (NACW) conference has been the place for carbon professionals working in North American carbon markets and climate policy to learn, collaborate, and network. NACW 2023 will advance this tradition, covering new and important topics, sharing actionable insights from top thought-leaders, and providing more opportunities and resources to connect and innovate. Join us to successfully navigate changing carbon market dynamics – including impacts of new investors and financial tools, market oversight rules, legislative and regulatory developments, market growth and trends, international opportunities, and the growing importance of SDGs/environmental justice in the market.

The Climate Action Reserve is pleased to not only present this important event once again, but to also announce we have the rare benefit of hosting the conference mid-week. Hotels are often reluctant to schedule mid-week, but in response to your requests to avoid Friday and weekend travel, we worked with The Westin Anaheim Resort and the hotel has agreed to accommodate us! We invite our colleagues – new and old – to join us Tuesday, March 21 – Thursday, March 23 at The Westin Anaheim Resort to collectively advance our work in addressing climate change.

About the Climate Action Reserve

The Climate Action Reserve is a pioneer in carbon accounting and the most trusted, efficient, and experienced offset registry to serve the carbon markets. The Reserve encourages actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and works to ensure environmental benefit, integrity and transparency in market-based solutions to address global climate change. It serves the California compliance market as an Offset Project Registry and has played an integral role in the development and administration of the state’s cap-and-trade program. For the voluntary market, the Reserve establishes high quality standards for carbon offset projects, oversees independent third-party verification bodies and issues and tracks the transaction of carbon credits (Climate Reserve Tonnes®) generated from such projects in a transparent, publicly-accessible system

Drawing from its experience and expertise in GHG accounting, the Reserve developed the Climate Impact Score program to quantify and assess the climate impact of projects financed by investments and the Climate Forward program designed to accelerate action on climate change by encouraging companies and organizations to proactively invest today in projects that mitigate future GHG emissions.

The Climate Action Reserve is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
