Heather Repenning

Executive Officer for Sustainability Policy, LA Metro

Heather Repenning is the Executive Officer for Sustainability Policy at LA Metro, the public transportation authority that serves 10 million people throughout Los Angeles County. In this role, Heather oversees policies and programs that impact greenhouse gas emissions as well as air quality and water. Heather’s office recently completed the Electric Vehicle Implementation Plan for light duty charging, an Emissions Analysis comparing the impact of the agency’s major programs on climate emissions, a first of its kind Tree Policy, and a partnership with locals CBOs on the South LA Eco-Lab Transformative Climate Communities.

Heather also serves as the Board Vice Chair for Climate Action of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.  Repenning previously held the role of Vice President of the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Swarthmore College and has a Master’s Degree from the University of California, Irvine in Comparative Literature.
