Kel is a heavily caffeinated engineer with over 15 years of experience in both the public and private sector with a broad background in environmental policy, strategic planning, program, and regulatory development, working with diverse stakeholders. Kel leads CE’s policy and engagement efforts in the voluntary carbon market, as well as international marine and aviation sectors, supporting the integration of low carbon fuels and carbon dioxide removals into sectoral decarbonization strategies. Prior to joining CE, Kel was at the Government of Canada in the Carbon Markets Bureau supporting the development of the Federal Offsets Program and the Clean Fuel Regulation which will create national GHG offset and low carbon fuel credit markets in Canada. Before that, Kel was at Chevron Canada supporting one of the largest industrial facilities in British Columbia finding progressive solutions to meeting BC’s low carbon fuel standard. Kel received her B.A.Sc. in Environmental engineering from the University of Windsor and her M.A.Sc. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
